Sri Mariamman
The oldest Hindu temple in Singapore, dedicated to the goddess Mariamman, was built in 1827 by a wealthy Indian merchant. The temple is richly decorated with sculptures of deities, mythical creatures and people. Inside the statue of the deity Subramaniam, entirely decorated with precious stones and gold.
